We are very excited about our new partnership with a local not for profit that is providing employment for developmentally challenged young adults. Our plan is to use this group for our pre-packaging label work and for our online store shipping needs.
As a mom and homeschooler, Margaret (Blue Ridge’s owner), has seen families with beautiful developmentally challenged children due to Autism, Down’s, accidents. Families and teachers work so hard to get these kids to be their best selves. Then young adulthood occurs and there is no more school and little work opportunities for them.
Perfect timing brought Kim (the founder of the 501-c3) and Margaret together. Blue Ridge Baking needs dependable folks to do these repetitious tasks. These folks have the skill and drive and want purpose and relationship in their lives.
Just another ingredient that says, “Goodness Made Here.”
